Hi everyone.
Recently some keys in my keyboard have been working randomly, specifically the a, c, s, b, down arrow, comma and dot. They work for a time, then stop working, then start again...
Anyways, I read I should try an external keyboard to check if it is a software or hardware matter. A bluetooth keyboard we had over there works flawlessly, so I'm guessing efectively its a problem with the hardware. I already used a full can of compressed air, did a reinstalation of SO and nothing, the problem persists.
So, I have two questions:
- Should I be sure it's a hardware matter?
- In case it is, where do you advise me to buy a replacement?
I live in Costa Rica, and this is an american model, so the part is not easily found over here. Besides, in case I have to buy a new keyboard I'd like to know; will a Spanish one work, from a member of the same vaio S family of laptops?
Thank you very much for your help!
Note: I've read some people have had a similar problem, which they have worked around from the BIOS. Im supposed to be able to access the BIOS pressing ASSIST with the laptop turned off, but when I have tried it, the laptop just boots normally, it doesnt go throug BIOS so that is a problem too, I suppose...
Thanks, again
