Hello,
I have a Sony Vaio VPCZ1-22GX. I bought it used. There's cosmetic damage to it, which is fine. I upgraded it to 8GB ram, and reinstalled Windows 7. Now I wanted to upgrade the hard drive, but it's two 64GB 1.8" ssd on RAID0. Which is cool.
So I went to put it back together (Like I've done with hundreds of laptops this year alone). Half the keyboard wouldn't work and the touchpad stopped working. So I wiggled the flex ribbon connecting the keyboard and the top part to the mother board, and reconnected it, and the keyboard started working again, however the touchpad just will NOT work. I don't know what else to do. This is driving me nuts, how can something that was so expensive be so finiky when it comes to flex ribbons. Is there something I'm missing?
