Vaio PCG-7184L USB and Webcam not working

I've tried everything I could possibly think of to fix the issue. I even used the link here:

None of the USB ports on my laptop work. And I also checked the Webcam and it is not being recognized either. Sound on the laptop initially didn't work but suddenly worked itself out. Since nothing seems to be working, I was wondering if I had to replace the motherboard or if there's another part to replace. I'm just looking for someone to point me in the right direction. None of the methods in the link work for me in terms of getting the USB ports up and running. The webcam is not too important.
