I have sony Vaio flip 14 model: SVF14N16CXS.
I use Windows 8.1.
The problem started 3 weeks ago. My internet connection was limited. Wifi was on. It happened before and I used to switch wifi off and on again to resolve it. But this time id didn't work that way. I am going to describe step by step below.
1.i tried to off the wifi using toggle switch. The switch didn't toggle and stayed on. Then tried airplane mode. Airplane mode worked but when I off airplane mode same thing with the wifi toggle again.
2. Restarted my laptop. This time it didn't say limited rather it said no internet connection.
3. I went to device manager and could not find my wifi adapter under network adapters.
3. I reinstalled wifi driver, still no wifi adapter found.
4. Restarted couple of times, then wifi icon shown. Internet connection was found. But after 6-10 min , again limited. Toggling on and off didn't work.
5. Went to device manager, wifi adapter was shown there. I disabled and enabled the adapter. The wifi came back and connection was good for next 5 min. Then I lost my internet. The wifi was showing No internet connection and visible wifi networks were not shown.
6. Again back in device manager , i updated device driver , nothing happened.
7. Re started, this time my wifi adapter not shown again... Again restarted
8. After the restart, there was internet connection for a few minutes. Then again internet connection. Went to device manager, there was error code 10. Finding no other way, i reset my pc and updated my windows and it's driver to win8.1 via eathernet.
9.sadly this thing happened again and still suffering from this.
10. I bought an external usb wifi dongle (brand :xiaomi) .. it worked fine first few hours, but again this also fall into same problem...
I use kaspersky internet security which is up to date.
Need your help to resolve this... My connection with my clients is through this laptop. So I am kind of disconnected when I have no eathernet connection.
