I took my busted screen just like yours is busted to Best Buy Geek Squad. They were totally unresponsive. There were shipping charges to TN and they wanted an extra $100 to do a virus scan. They could not state whether Sony has any extra screens or not, i.e. could not call Sony repair to see if its possible to repair or even give me a cost estimate. I sensed a total disaster if I gave them the pc and walked out thinking I can contact the sony repair place in TN direct. Best Buy is a complete disaster. So I went to my support page and I see sony is only doing repairs on pcs in warranty. Apparently they do not want to or cannot repair pcs out of warranty.
