I'm attempting to upgrade my Sony VAIO All-In-One's RAM from the factory installed 6GB to the max allowed of 16GB. I purchased a couple of 2x8GB sticks from A-Tech via Amazaon. Here's the advertised specs: NEW! 16GB 2X8GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 SODIMM Memory for Sony VAIO SVL241290X and web-link.

When I installed the RAM, the computer just goes into an endless reboot.
I double checked that the memory was installed correctly, properly seated, and also tried with just one stick and then the other. No success.
A-tech supplys a small card with some installation troubleshooting tips of 1) reseating the memory (did); 2) ordered the correct product - non-ECC (Not sure, didn't say on website if it was non-ECC, or neighter on the packaging or lables when the memory arrived - so this could be the issue); 3) Check the speed - (confirmed); 4) discharge static electricity - (performed).
Anyways, waiting to hear back from A-tech. In the meantime, I figure I'd give this board a try.
