The issue occured shortly before my original comment (Jan 11, 2017), so near the start of the new year. It has Windows 10 Home 64 bit.The laptop is SVF13N15CDB.
As for changes, this was when I went from I think Windows 7 to Windows 10, but more importantley I had switched the factory SSD to one I had purchased myself. Having said that, I don't fault anyone at Sony or Sony itself for the issue I am having, moreso just curious if a solution exists. I had attempted to reinstall all original Sony software that came with the device (drivers and VAIO care, VAIO update, and running all updates I could find) but had not been successful so far in solving the original issue.
