Hello Community!
First post here after spending countless hours on internet and speaking to customer service.
I have a vaio S Series VPCSE25FD/B. According to Sony Canada webpage this model is also know as PCG41412L. This may be a varient for Unites States. I am not too sure.
Originally I received this laptop from Sony Retail Store AKA Sony Style in Toronot, Canada, however I live in California. Within first year I went to service here is US under internatioanl 1 year warranty. (Blue Screen of Death)
Laptop has served me well till last night. I finished working on a word document and closed the lid without shutting down. Laptop never turned back on. It shows no signs of power or life what so ever. I checked the hardrive and it is working.
it only shows an orange flashing light (2 seconds) when I plug in the power cable.
I asked one of my friend to look into this. He is a trained technician. According to him the a chip is fried on the motherboard and he is unable to find any information in terms of ordering it. Contacted his vendors and all he is being told that it is not available.
He has given me second option to have the motherboard replaced. Now I've spent lasr few hours online at ebay.ca and google to find out about the replacement motherboard without any luck.
Can anyone of you genious tell me how I can go around getting a replacement motherrboard for this machine?
I am going to see him tomorrow to find out about the dead chip and try my luck with that too.
Guys any help will be great!
