You can't buy even if you wanted, since they are out of this business. There is no repeat business here to incentivize them to create the updates, and even if they did, they would have to marshall a bunch of resources (that left them with the Vaio Copr spinoff) to get it done. With no returns for this effort, no reason to do it at all. This decision was made months ago folks.
But I know, hope springs eternal. For the rest of you, dump your machines while you can.
