After many hours trying to fix my Fn brightness keys (on Sony Vaio Pro), no drivers worked. The problem was in the Graphic card (Intel in my example).

You need to find your Graphic card settings, in my example was on the right side of the Task bar (that little triangle that says show hidden icons). Click on it and click on the graphic card icon.
Graphic Card Options - Hot keys - Click on Disable and then Click on Enable
That's it...try Fn + F5 and Fn + F6
Working again.
