I have a 4 year old Vaio VPCSB38GG, dedicated graphic card with Intell HD Farmily 3000 and Radeon HD 6470M. it was running perfectly on windows 7 after i bought it.
Last year I update windows system to windows 10 and use it till yesterday when I decided to go back to windows 7 (I format and did a clean installation). The problem is my graphic card. It is Radeon HD 6470M but in Windows 10, it is recognized as Radeon HD 7400M series. It work fine in windows 10 with new driver updated automatically by windows. However, after I installed windows 7 yesterday, I trying to install the original driver of the graphic card (which is downloaded from download page for VCPSB38GG) and keep getting Blue Screen everytime right before getting to log in screen.
I have to start windows in safe mode, uninstall the driver that I downloaded from Vaio download page, install the new driver from AMD page. Now I can login to windows 7 but then my AMD card become HD 7400M again, and my intell card become "Standard VGA graphic card", aero theme doesn't work.
It's weird that the AMD card doesn't work with it own driver.
Anyone can help pls.
