I purchased one of the high end sony ultrabooks a little over 2 years ago from the Microsoft store. In April, the fan started acting up and running weirdly. Soon after the laptop would randomly start failing and have to shut down. I took the computer into Best Buy but they said they wouldn't be able to service it since it is a model they didn't sell. About 2 days later it got to the point where the computer became completely unsusable because it would fail and shut itself down after about 5 minutes. I took it back into Best Buy and they said that the shutting down may be a function of the fan failing but there wasn't any appearant damage to the fan.
I am hoping to get some support for this because the computer cost around $1900 and it seems that 2 years is a pretty short lifetime for such an expensive product from Sony. I would expect higher quality for this computer and it is quite disappointing how little time it lasted.
