Hello All,
Three months ago, I upgraded my Sony Vaio F series which originally shipped with Windows 7 to Windows 10. I immediately observed a drop in system performance due to the operating system throttling CPU speed, and slowing applications considerably.
The only way to solve this problem is to revert back to Windows 7, however, there are a few questions I need to ask a forum moderator before i proceed with the risky endeavor.
(1) If I choose to perform Vaio Recovery, will my PC be downgraded to Windows 7, or will the OS be the same?
(2) When I purchased the machine in 2012, I created a set of Windows 7 recovery disks, but lost them. Now, when I go to Vaio Care, the application does not allow me to create a new set of recovery disks, and says "Recovery Media has been created for your system". Is there anyway I can burn a second set of DVD(s)?
(3) I launched Control Panel on Windows 10, and under the back-up & restore settings, I created a system repair disk listed under "Back Up and Resore (Windows 7)", and burned it onto a DVD. After I was done burning, Windows displayed a prompt suggesting me to store the disks in a safe place and label them "Windows 10 64-bit System Repair". I was rather surprised by this message because I initially thought Windows would burn the Windows 7 (as indicated by the parenthesis) recovery partition, and not the Windows 10. Is this some sort of a misleading bug, or has a system recovery partition of Windows 7 been actually burned to the DVD?
Many Thanks!
