Unspecified time ago the adapter from my Sony Vaio VPCF22M1E burned out which forced me to buy a replacement.
My notebook worked then without any troubles for 2 weeks. Afterwards I could no longer charge the battery nor the computer would work with only the adapter. Supprisingly, when the battery has a charge, my notebook works without any problems.
When I plug in the adapter, power diode starts too blink togehter with the diode on the adapter.
Additionally there is oscilating high pitch noise when the adapter is plugged in with frequency around 0.25Hz. The noise originates from the notebook.
According to the computer service, I have to exchange the mainboard.
Any other theories?
For any help, you have my gratitude.
