What can be done to get Sony to offer, or work with another entitiy, to upgrade our ZPCZ12 and 13 laptops to use the new Intel WiDi and ohter technologies. My thought is to simply replace the full motherboard with upgraded CPU, chipset, memory, and, if needed, video card.
I have looked at all current models, and nothing beats the form factor and features in my VAIO Z13 and Z12 laptops with i7 CPUs, SSDs, and full HD screees.
Sony, will you sponsor or work with another partner in offering upgraded motherboards with new CPU and video that will allow ZPCZ12 and 13 laptops to get another 3 great years with needed connectivity.
BTW, I was able to replace my Advanced-N-6200 AGN wifi card with AC-7260 cards for only $30 that work great and allow faster access to AC bands.
