First post! Of course it's a problem...
Thank you to anyone who can tell me why I cannot find the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 100 driver ANYWHERE online?? Plenty of sites say they have it, but it's the Protools/Wireless software which I already have (latest) and it doesn't work without a driver!!
I have no idea how I lost it, since it was working fine, then I unplugged my laptop to move it to another room and the driver disappeared. It's NOT in device manager at all, so can't enable/disable, reload, uninstall, etc. I've spent hours, yes hours, looking online for the simple driver, constantly ending up loading rubbish software or stuff that says it's free and it's not. Then of course uninstalling all that bloatware and cleaning my drive afterwards. I've been on the Sony UK website for my Vaio model...VPCSB1C5E...and there is nothing there because it's been discontinued (the Intel driver for wireless-n 100 for Win7, 64bit). I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, and everything else is fine. I don't have a way to restore to an earlier time (no backup) and no disc.
If I could just get a link to the bloody driver (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 100 driver), I'd be fine to carry on and reload etc. But it's NOWHERE!!!!!!
Any help or ideas? Better yet a link to download this driver and not Protools? I'm running version 20.10.02 of that, but it doesn't give a way to download drivers; it only works with the drivers you already have...and i have no wireless driver now!
