I am having the same problems with my Vaio VPCEH25FM.

No power even after doing the troubleshooting listed in the previous comments.

Can you please help with any other ideas. My computer has not functioned in three days.

Removed battery, bought a new power adapter, and etc....

 

Let me know ASAP.

I need the contact information of someone in HR OR WHO i can make a customer service conplaint to. I have gotten zero help, have been hung up on multiple times and am not getting my deserved assistance for a problem with your machine. This is really unacceptable and I expected more from Sony. If this isnt rectified my business and anyone who I can convinces.business will be gone.

It wont let me type in a pm. Please give me the contact information f someone who I can speak to. I have been grossly mishandled by the bumblinh phone aupport, the website is a labyrinth and I dony want to have to crack my own computer.

I'm having multiple issues. Most pressing I am locked out of my bios and need a one time password generated. I may be having hard drive problems as well or I need to reinstall my system but I can't find out while locked out.

 

i also need to be put in contact with someone to discuss the phone support I received. Adrian was very rude and unhelpful and the website is poorly constructed with just shooting people in circles. I really expected more from Sony and hope you can make this right so I do not have to take my business elsewhere.

Omg, thank you! I tried you methid and it worked like a charm! I tried to clean the fan by only using compressed air and failing. I tried then using oil and moving the fan, so the oil could reach the gaps, and it worked! As a reference, my notebook is a

My notebook is a Sony Vaio Pro 13 SVP13215PLS, a latinoamerican model, and dfernand's method actually worked. I disasembled my notebook and applied aerosol lubricant to the fan rotor, manually moving the blades, so the oil could penetrate between the gaps. I've be using my computer for 24 hours by now and the fan is working properly. I didn't need to buy a new fan!

One observation with applying the oil to the "ball bearings" on the hub/spindle of the fan ... I swabbed onto it something called WD40 which oils locks etc but the problem came back after about 40 hours or so and that horrible grinding noise returned - I dunno why, whether I didn't apply enough or made sure the oil penetrated the internals etc.

 

In the end I had to replace the fan manually myself .. and to this day the vaio laptop 13 still works ... I did use new thermal paste though so that's worth considering also. Replacing the fan aint too bad, there's a video on you tube that shows you how to do it, I got the fan from China off ebay shipped to Europe but I recall that the hardest part was pulling the case off the vaio... do it with CARE.

Hello,

 

I recently sent my computer via USPS to my daughter from one state to another. They did a horrible job and the computer got wet and is no longet working. I have filed a claim and they require for me to show some sort of proof of value for the computer. This was a gift long time ago and we have no receipt. I nee proof of value for a Model PCG-31311U from a trusted distrubtor in order to get reimbursed for the damages of my computer.

 

Could you provide me with some sort of letter or proof of the value of this computer?
